Pro Media Mag : First of all tell us about the start of your music career?
King Vickk : First of all my family is musically inclined. I have uncles and cousins in the industry. Plus I like writing, Especially about my life and my experiences. I can express my feeling well through pen and paper. I grew up listening to 2pac and biggie, outlast. Goodie mob and other dope artist. soon as I started to develop a passion for the music I began to turn my poetry into songs. It became 2nd nature to me. Kind of like writing a book about my life. And letting everybody listen to it. Plus I love the attention.
Pro Media Mag : Tell us about your recently release single HOLLYWOOD ?
King Vickk : HOLLYWOOD is one of my favorite tracks. I wanted to create a story n this song. A situation that a lot of people can relate to. But the title goes in hand with the quote “from rags to riches” or “from nothing to something”. Simply saying that no matter what it is you want outta life, you can have it as long as u apply yourself and work for it. But at the same time never forget where you come from.
Pro Media Mag : Your track ADDICTION is so much impressive. We would like to know, What is the inspiration behind this?
King Vickk : I was going through a lot when I wrote this song. Simply clarifying how some can become addicted to anything. And how it can alter a persons lifestyle without them even knowing. The Money. The drugs, women. Bad habits. people. Etc etc.
Pro Media Mag : What attracts you more, performing on stage or working in studios?
King Vickk : I would say Both. Each one has its own benefits. I love working in the studio because it allows me to be extra creative. I can focus more and turn energy into art. Or music. Almost like sitting in a room painting a picture of something great. being on stage is like a euphoria, or a natural high. I can definitely be myself and create my own character. I can make people feel my music. So yea, each one has it own specialties.
Pro Media Mag : A couple of your videos are doing exceptionally well on vevo you must be happy with the response?
King Vickk : The videos I have online I worked hard to develop. I put a lot of time and money into all of them. Even though they have, what I consider few views, I didn’t get a chance to promote them like I really wanted to. A couple thousand views is not to my standards or expectations. I feel like with more promo, they could have been better. My opinion.
