Adam Waring is training for TV show ‘Australian Ninja Warrior’ and for that purpose he has also setup a blog and website as well. We interviewed him in detail about Australian Ninja Warrior and how he can help other candidate get trained for the competition.
Pro Media Mag : Please introduce yourself to our readers.
Adam Waring : Hi, my name is Adam Waring. I moved to the US to train and compete on American Ninja Warrior, but almost as soon as I landed on the plane from Australia, Australian Ninja Warrior was announced. So now I’m training for both!
Pro Media Mag : Who or what inspired you to go for Ninja Warrior?
Adam Waring : The show originated in Japan and I’ve been a fan of it for most of my life… through the Japanese version I found American Ninja Warrior and completely fell in love with the challenge of it all.
Pro Media Mag : Who helped you get trained as Ninja Warrior candidate?
Adam Waring : Everyone in the Ninja Warrior community is so incredibly generous with their time and advice. It’s incredible. I’ve literally never seen a community as supportive as this one.
Pro Media Mag : It must be a very hard training?
Adam Waring : I went into this completely cold, with no real sporting background, and for Ninja Warrior you have to be good at everything. So yes, I think it’s one of the hardest things to train for because you never know what’s going to be thrown at you. That said, it’s so much fun training in so many different disciplines. I’ve learnt so much in such a short amount of time. So much so that I started a website to chronical and share all my learnings.
Pro Media Mag : When did you get the idea that you should have a website with all stuff about Ninja Warrior and your story on it?
Adam Waring : When I first starting training for American Ninja Warrior, I found it really hard to find anything good advice online. The advice only came once I started travelling around America to the specific Ninja Warrior gyms, so I thought I’d help out all the new people that are also interested in learning and competing. I specifically really want to recreate the incredible American community in Australia, and then all over the world.
Pro Media Mag : How much your site will prove to be helpful for those who want to complete in Ninja Warrior?
Adam Waring : I think it should be very helpful. I’m always adding content as I learn, but I’ve also built in a forum so that everyone else can share their own advice and ask questions. I’ve got videos and training manuals to really help people fine-tune their technique.
Pro Media Mag : It’s very good gesture from you to offer to help in training the people for Ninja warrior, when nobody tells anything about it?
Adam Waring : I think it’s because I’m a bit older, I’m 38 years old so I’ve probably only got a couple of truly competitive years left… which is completely fine, because if I can help someone else be successful then that is just as exciting to me.
Pro Media Mag : Anything else you would like to share with our readers?
Adam Waring : I’d love for anyone who is interested in general fitness to check out the website as well… I’d like to improve lots of people’s lives and I have lots of ideas on how we can all try and be a little bit better than we were yesterday. There is lots of training advice that will help everyone, not just those looking to be on TV.
Pro Media Mag : What’s the best way to follow you or contact you online?
Adam Waring : My website is probably the best place www.aussieninja.com.au, the website lists all my other social media links.
