Conversation with a fortnite streamer OversizedHC

We are sharing our interview with a fortnite streamer OversizedHC (Oversized House Cat).

Pro Media Mag : Who or what inspired you to get into gaming?
OversizedHC : When I was a about 7 or 8, I had a friend nextdoor who was super into minecraft and had a killer setup for his age. I really liked playing the game and eventually ended up going over to house his most days of the week. My parents quickly caught on, and soon I found myself with a computer and a Minecraft account. That’s where it all started.

Pro Media Mag : Tell us about your experience with Square 1 Gaming ?
OversizedHC : Still a fairly new org, I also recently joined. So far my experience with the players and community have been super great. I think it’s definitely something that I am going to be sticking with and pursuing for and a while and see where it takes me. My friend Seebzy (Dylan Brown) had the idea to make an org, and I was already previously friends with him. Which gave me easier access to joining the org, and Seebzy is definitely someone I would trust to make a great experience for all of the people who join.

Pro Media Mag : What kind of response you have received from your stream so far?
OversizedHC : So far I think I have managed to create a small, but very nice and non-toxic community of other players and streamers who help support each other when were all streaming. For example, when I stop streaming I usually host someone else who frequently comes to my streams in order to maintain viewers and help that other person out. Recently my school and social life outside of gaming have really started to promote my stream for kids I know around where I live.

Pro Media Mag : What’s the best part of being a streamer?
OversizedHC : The best part of being a streamer is definitely being able to interact with my audience live. Part of the fun is also trying to maintain viewers by being entertaining enough to keep them watching for the entire stream. Another thing I love is being able to play with my viewers and community, I have met a lot of great people who became close friends from streaming.

Pro Media Mag : Have you set some goals to achieve?
OversizedHC : As far as 2020 goes, my goals mostly revolve around growing a bigger community, and start to a name for myself, and in 2021 start to really dive into competitive gameplay and use the following and community I have previously made for myself to help me become a professional. This year is all about grinding for me, juggling with school and other activities can be hard when I am trying to stream everyday. So I try to make as much time as possible to stream and interact with my community on social media.

Pro Media Mag : Anything else you would like to share with our readers?
OversizedHC : One thing I want to say, is that it is incredibly hard to make a name for yourself on twitch. As far as I know there is basically no SEO system at all. Meaning there is basically no way for you to show up in someones recommended or anything like that as a small streamer. Only the big streamers get displayed for most people to see. So I really appreciate and want to thank the people that do interact with me, and come support me whenever I’m streaming.

Pro Media Mag : What’s the url to your streaming account?
