Today in our interview section we have with us a talented and versatile actress Lunden De’Leon. She has played a number of diverse roles in television and film ranging from a caring therapist (“Somebody’s Child”), to a young African mother (“Vital Signs”) and a sexy villain (“Cryptz”). Yet over and over again, the actress wins over audiences by making these characters very memorable. After taking on small roles in film and television, De’Leon began to transition into leading roles on the small screen. She soon landed bigger roles and gained worldwide recognition portraying the role of Joanne Mbutu on the television series “Vital Signs”. De’Leon later went on to appear in over 50 movies and television shows working alongside some of the biggest names in Hollywood.
Pro Media Mag : First of all tell us about the start of your professional career.
Lunden De’Leon : While in college, I was dirt broke. My roommate asked me to tag along with her to an audition so I went and I got the part. I fell in love with acting after that. I went on to take acting lessons and started booking more jobs.
Pro Media Mag : Who or what inspired you to get into acting?
Lunden De’Leon : I sort of fell into it.
Pro Media Mag : Tell us about your recent projects?
Lunden De’Leon : I have two movies coming out in 2017. A horror movie called “The Lake House” which should hit theaters this Fall and a romantic comedy for television called “An Inherited Life”.
Pro Media Mag : You have done versatile roles. What’s kind of role you enjoy more?
Lunden De’Leon : I enjoy portraying edgy characters. Ones where I have to challenge myself and transform into a completely different person.
Pro Media Mag : Have you learnt acting from some institute or taken any kind of training in acting. How did you developed your acting skills to this extent?
Lunden De’Leon : I attended The Los Angeles Theater Academy. I have also taken a number of classes in cold reading, scene study and script analysis.
Pro Media Mag : What’s the best part of being an actress?
Lunden De’Leon : I love everything about acting. It’s not about fame or fortune. I’ve worked on projects where I got paid little to nothing but was passionate about the script.
Pro Media Mag : We came to know that you are launching your cosmetic line ‘Lunden De’Leon Cosmetics’, our readers would like to know about that?
Lunden De’Leon : I started Lunden De’Leon Cosmetics years ago but decided to revamp it around Christmas time. The line offers a variation of beautiful shades for darker skin tones.
Pro Media Mag : Have you set some goals to achieve as an actress?
Lunden De’Leon : To stay positive and enjoy the moment. I use to stress about not getting a role but I’ve realized that what’s meant for me I’ll have.
