We are sharing our recent interview with mixed martial artist Pawel Kozlowski.
Pro Media Mag : First of all tell us about the start of your professional career.
Pawel Kozlowski :
I started with playing soccer when I was 8 years old and played until I was 16. My father always wanted me to be a professional soccer player but I had to quit because I went to a boarding school 600 km from home. I started to practice some Jiu Jitsu techniques with a friend on some mats at the boarding school. When I came back home I signed in to a mixed martial arts school. In the beginning I struggled a lot because I wasn’t really talented and got disappointed every training and also in competitions but I kept pushing and after almost 2 years of training I won my first competition. After this win everything changed and I was unstoppable. A few months after this win I got 2nd Place at the IBJJF European Championship and from there on I won over 100 Tournaments and I made almost 500 Fights in Jiu Jitsu. I also have 4 professional MMA Fights which I all won through Submissions in the first round.
Pro Media Mag : Who or what inspired you to get into mixed martial art?
Pawel Kozlowski :
My first Coach Lincon Rodrigues. He was a Bouncer at a nightclub and me and some friends always talked to him when we passed by and he invited me to train with his team. Then I saw him fighting at a 16 man MMA Tournament and there i saw him beating and submitting guys weighting 120kg but he was just about 80kg. That was the reason why I wanted to start training MMA.
Pro Media Mag : Tell us about your achievements as mixed martial artist?
Pawel Kozlowski :
At Pro MMA I am unbeaten with a record of 4-0-0 and all wins through submission in the first round. In Jiu Jitsu I’m an 6 times European Championship Medalist and I won over 100 championships with about 400 Jiu Jitsu Fights all around the world.
Pro Media Mag : You are founder and owner of 5 different companies/ academies, Our readers would like to know more about that?
Pawel Kozlowski :
I’m the owner of Alpha Jiu Jitsu Academy, the Academy where we create Champions and help Athletes to live a better live through Jiu Jitsu or MMA. Alpha Athletics is a BJJ Sports and Lifestyle Brand which will launch in the end of 2020. Austrian Athletic Competitions are the Jiu Jitsu tournaments which we organize in Austria. Alpha Nutrition will be a supplements brand which will probably launch in 2021 and the Lionheart Foundation will be a project to help people in need and I hope I can launch this project as well in 2021. So yeah there’s a lot work to do beside me being a father, husband and pro Athlete 🙂
Pro Media Mag : How do you manange all that, you must have sacrificed your personal and family life for that?
