What is your name and what city do you rep?
Josh Simmons from Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
What shaped your music?
My life, my surroundings, & growing up in Louisiana trying not to become a product of my environment.
When did you realize you were going to make music professionally?
I realized I wanted to take this music seriously when I had people literally standing outside of venues I was performing at & just getting the huge response I did once I started releasing music.
What type of music do you listen to?
Not to sound like that guy, but I literally listen to everything..
Well besides country who, to you, is the most undervalued music artist?
ME, Myself, & I
How do you prepare for your performances?
I really just like to relax before a show, maybe go shopping or something to make suremy oufit on point… if I feel good I perform good.
What ignites your (song) writing flow?
I really just let the beat guide me…However it makes me feel that’s where I go
What do you do when you don’t do music (creative or otherwise) and that you are passionate about?
I’m a family guy so I try to spend as much time with my friends or family as possible,been through alot so that’s something I try to value most when I’m outside of the studio Success to you is…
What do you wish you were told when you first started rapping that you think would help artists starting out?
Success to me is… Happiness. And advice to new up and coming artists would be just simply HAVE FUN.. because I know what it’s like to just get stuck in a mode and this music just starts to feel like a job.. Instead of that genuine feeling of just creating
