FRENCH ACTOR CHARLES CAMPOS HAS HOLLYWOOD AT HIS FEET

CHARLES CAMPOSSo, how does a great looking Frenchman who lives in L.A. and acts for a living get invited to the Cannes Film Festival by Jodie Foster? It’s a good question and we will certainly get back to you when we find out just how Charles Campos pulled that neat trick off. Money Monster, directed by Jodie Foster, wasn’t on Charles’ resumé and his name was not on the cast list of the movie so I’m assuming that they must have met accidentally at a local Hollywood Starbucks and spoken French to each other as they grabbed each other’s coffee and croissant order by mistake. Stranger things have happened.

I can see them smiling at each other now. Sipping their lattes and nibbling their flaky crescents as they quietly speak the language of love. Okay. Okay…I’m getting off track, I know. We don’t know why Charles was invited to go to Cannes for the premiere of Money Monster, but we will definitely get to the bottom of this. In the meantime, let’s talk about Charles, obviously he’s pretty interesting.

Yes, he is French and yes, he does now live in Tinsel Town, also known as L.A. or Hollywood. He’s an actor – a very good actor. And some of the movies he’s been in, (the list is too long to name them all here) are Soliloquy, Twist and Shout, The Bride, Midnite Cabby, Heartbreak and Imprinted. You probably already know that Soliloquy, which is a terrific short film, won Best Short Film prize at the Nice International Film Festival. Yes, Nice is in the South of France, which has great beaches, beautiful women and very substantial film festivals.

CHARLES CAMPOS red carpetCharles has also done many, many commercials and has been the face of brands like Samsung, MTV, Corona Beer, Nintendo, Speedstick and Coke Zero to name just a few. He has also been featured in music videos and was in Japanese superstar Ayumi Hamaski’s video which shot him to fame and beyond in Japan, that lucky guy.

Charles is a giant of a talent along with being quite humble. A lot of people aren’t really interested in hearing that perhaps, because it’s his career and star power that they want to identify with. But we feel humility is an important part of being a success at anything and we also feel that maybe one day Charles will tell us all about his trip to the Cannes Film Festival and how he got invited to it by Jodie Foster. You thought I was going to say something else, didn’t you?
