We are sharing our recent interview with hip hop artist and songwriter Frada Chiffon.
Pro Media Mag : First of all please introduce yourself to our readers.
Frada Chiffon : My names is Shavonne Thomas but I’m known as Frada chiffon, I’m a hip hop artist/songwriter. I’m from South side Queens but I moved to Miami 3 years ago.
Pro Media Mag : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
Frada Chiffon : My brother inspired me to do music but I started with poetry to escape my pain. My brother introduced me to Nas and it was over from there.
Pro Media Mag : Tell us about your recent release “Partly Cloudy” ?
Frada Chiffon : Party cloudy is something I’m proud of. I took my time with this. I named it that because in life you have good days and bad days. In my world people look at me like I got it made but they don’t take the time out to see the bigger picture. My world isn’t always sunshine. Many dark days. Basically the saying “Don’t judge a book by its cover” goes great with the album.
Pro Media Mag : What kind of response you have received from the release?
Frada Chiffon : I got some pretty dope responses, a lot of people love “I think” personally I love it but my favorite song on the album is “Fake love” produced by my cousin “Jnique productions” majority of my album was produced by twanbeatmaker.
Pro Media Mag : What’s your favorite music genre?
Frada Chiffon : That’s hard because it depends on my mood. I’m weird sometimes. Of course hip hop I love but jazz is beautiful to me. Very relaxing.
Pro Media Mag : What’s the best part of being a music artist?
Frada Chiffon : Thepeople you meet, I love interacting and meeting new people. I enjoy everyone opinions weather I agree or disagree. The human mind is very interesting to me.
Pro Media Mag : Have you set some goals to achieve?
Frada Chiffon : I set some long term and short term goals, I don’t like talking about them until I get it done. I like to show progress instead of telling people what I want to do.
Pro Media Mag : What about your upcoming EP “Beautiful disaster ? How much work is finished?
Frada Chiffon : I got two more song left for the project to be complete, this one is super dope and I know the response to this one will be epic. It’s featuring a couple of dope artist. I just dropped a single called “You see me” that will be on the EP. go check it out.
